Upcoming Indian table tennis players like Payas Jain, Manush Shah, and Archana Kamath are among the eight Indian players who received wildcard entries in the singles main draw of the WTT Star Contender Goa 2024, that is all set to begin from January 23, in Mapusa, Goa.
Apart from that, Suhana Saini and Snehit Suravajjula are the other two Indian players who have received the wildcard entry as well. Meanwhile, the qualifiers for the tournament will be played on the first two days, and the finals are scheduled to take place on Sunday.
The WTT Star Contender Goa will feature some of the biggest global stars, including the World No. 6 Hugo Calderano, the last edition’s runner-up Cheng I-Ching (WR 18), and former World No. 1 and two-time Olympics bronze medallist Dimitrij Ovtcharov.

As for the Indian stars, there will be the likes of Sharath Kamal, G Sathiyan, and Manika Batra, along with Sreeja Akula, who had won a gold at the CWG 2022, in the mixed doubles category.
