After the five franchises retained just 17 players, 277 players will go under the hammer in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction. With just 73 slots available, the competition will be intense. 194 Indians, 52 capped and 142 uncapped, while 83 foreigners, 66 capped and 17 uncapped, have been shortlisted.
The auction, taking place in Delhi on November 27, will start with marquee players. Deepti Sharma, Meg Lanning, Sophie Ecclestone, Alyssa Healy, Amelia Kerr and Renuka Singh Thakur are among the big names likely to attract the highest bids and become the most expensive players sold in WPL history.
