WPL 2024: Captain Smriti Mandhana slams gritty 50 to give Royal Challengers Bangalore flying start

RCB Captain Smriti Mandhana hits a gritty fifty as Royal Challengers Bangalore look to bounce back to winning ways against UP Warriors in WPL 2024. The RCB vs UPW game is the last match to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

With the gritty 50, Mandhana now is the holder of the WPL 2024 Orange Cap with 188* runs from 5 innings. Mandhana hit her second half-century in the tournament off 34 balls. Mandhana hit four boundaries and three maximums in the process.

Mandhana’s first half-century in the tournament came against Meg Lanning’s Delhi Capitals. Smriti scored 74 runs off 43 balls, including 10 fours and three sixes, after taking just 32 balls to reach fifty. However, Delhi staged a stunning comeback following Smriti’s dismissal in the 12th over.
