Why is Axar Patel not playing today’s IPL match?
To note, Axar Patel was also not part of the DC’s last match against MI. As per the reports, Axar Patel has caught the flu, so he won’t be available for his side’s last match in IPL 2025. Meanwhile, Du Plessis won the toss in DC vs. PBKS IPL match and opted to have a bowl first in Jaipur.
“We will have a bowl first. Nah! It was a 50-50 decision. It has more to do with our team combination. We are playing an extra batter. It helps while chasing. Very frustrating to be honest. We started well. Then went on a roller coaster. We end up losing momentum and confidence. We have played enough T20 cricket to understand it. If you do the right things for a long period of time, then both changes. We were excellent in the previous game until 17 overs. We bowled beautifully. Then there was a lack of concentration. Then the momentum is gone again. We had to fight it back,” said Du Plessis at the toss.
