Rain threatens to play spoilsport in the SRH vs DC clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday. Delhi Capitals stuttered to a below-par 133 batting first. However, rain interrupted the clash in the mid-innings break, threatening to wash the game out. With each game vital in the race for IPL 2025 playoffs, a point each for both teams will change several permutations as far as qualification is concerned.

SRH knocked out if game is washed out
If the SRH vs DC game is washed out, both teams will receive just a solitary point. In that case, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be knocked out of the IPL 2025 playoffs race. Pat Cummins and Co were in contention mathematically, should they win all their games. However, losing a point to a washout would end their chances, with SRH able to score a maximum of only 13 points.
Delhi Capitals still in the fray?
A point for Delhi Capitals, see them move to 13 points in 11 games. The Axar Patel-led side would then be confirmed for a playoff berth should they win their remaining 3 matches. The Capitals can get to a maximum of 19 points, but even 17 could get them a playoff berth should other results go in their favour.
After the game in Hyderabad, Delhi travel to Dharamsala to face playoff rivals Punjab Kings. They play their final home game against Gujarat Titans in Delhi before their final game of the season at the Wankhede against the Mumbai Indians. All of their remaining games are against teams higher in the IPL 2025 points table, meaning it would be a huge ask for Delhi to qualify.

- Win 2 and hope none of GT, MI and PBKS breach the 17-point mark.
- Win 1 and hope one of GT/MI and KKR lose their remaining games.
- Knocked out if they lose all their games.
