On a pitch where all batters struggled to get going, KL Rahul stroked an excellent fifty with the bat as he remained unbeaten on 70 runs at the end of Day 1 in the IND vs SA 1st Test. Thanks to his effort with the bat, team India managed to breach the 200-run mark and the right-handed batter will look to continue the good work on Day 2 as well.

Speaking about Marco Jansen, the left-arm pacer bowled a total of 15 overs on Day 1. In his 15 overs spell, Jansen took one wicket of Jasprit Bumrah. He went on to give away 52 runs at an economy rate of 5.42. The tall-lanky pacer will look to make a comeback on Day 2 of the Test match.
