Deepti shines in Team India’s win
Team India set in motion the hunt for the triumph while declaring their second innings closed at the overnight score of 186 for 6. As a result, Heather Knight and Co. were given a huge target of 479 runs in their second innings to chase down.
Just like the first innings, Deepti Sharma was the pick of the bowlers. She grabbed (4/32) as England were bundled out for just 131. Indian women’s team win against England is now the biggest win in the history of women’s Test cricket. They have bettered the Sri Lanka’s record of 309-run win over Pakistan in April 1998.
