Gujarat Titans newest recruit Spencer Johnson bowled a fiery spell in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL 2024) on Friday (January 19). Playing for Brisbane Heat in the Qualifier 1 of the BBL 2024, Spencer Johnson conceded 12 runs from one of his overs. The other three of his overs went for just two runs. Thanks to Spencer Johnson’s efforts with the ball, Brisbane Heat managed to restrict Sydney Sixers for just 152 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
To note, Spencer Johnson was purchased at a whopping price of INR 10 crore by the Gujarat Titans for the upcoming IPL edition. Speaking more about the pacer, Spencer Johnson is a highly-rated pacer in Australia and is regarded as the closest to Mitchell Starc. The 28-year-old can be a top prospect for the Gujarat Titans in the coming seasons and is tipped to be a top buy for them.
Spencer Johnson has 2 T20I wickets in two matches for Australia. He has a total of 20 first-class wickets in just four matches. He has also picked up 17 wickets in T20 matches. Johnson made his ODI debut for Australia against India in September 2023. So far he has only played 1 ODI and 2 T20Is for Australia.
