Virat Kohli broke down to tears after RCB clinched their maiden IPL trophy on Tuesday. Rajat Patidar and co. beat PBKS by 6 runs in the IPL 2025 final to end their 18-year-wait to lift the title. Kohli was seen with tears in his eyes as RCB were approaching victory.

Virat scored 43 runs off 35 deliveries, striking 3 boundaries in the run-chase. Ahead of this contest, Kohli had featured in three finals previosuly. He managed to score 96 runs in three IPL finals and averages 32. His strike rate is 128 in the 75 balls that he has faced in these games.

Punjab Kings lost by 6 runs as they failed to chase down 191-run target. Shashank Singh remained unbeaten on 61 off 30 balls but it wasn’t enough. Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted 190/9 after being sent to bat. Virat Kohli top-scored with 43 while there were contributions from Jitesh Sharma, Mayank Agarwal and Liam Livingstone. Arshdeep Singh bagged three wickets in the final over while Kyle Jamieson scalped three wickets for 48 runs. Earlier, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first. Both teams went unchanged with Tim David missing out for RCB with an injury.
