The Delhi boys—Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir—share many things in common: an aggressive approach to playing and rising to the occasion, saving the team from difficult situations. Kohli played a knock of 76, breaking Gautam Gambhir’s record of 75 in the T20 World Cup final on Saturday at the Kensington Oval in Barbados was a similar kind of knock.
Gambhir had scored 75 off 54 balls to guide his team to a total of 157/5, contributing almost fifty percent of the runs on the board. Similarly, Virat scored 76 off 59 balls, helping India set a target of 176/7.
