Kris Srikkanth is celebrating his 64th birthday today. He was delighted when the ‘God’ of cricket Sachin Tendulkar wished him on social media. Srikkanth replied with admirable tweet.

Tendulkar wrote that Cheeka (Srikkanth’s nickname) was a livewire on the field and wished him to have a same energy throughout his life.

Srikkanth replied that he was pleasured to receive wishes from the ‘god’.

Notably, Master Blaster had made his debut in Srikkanth’s captaincy in November 1989 against Pakistan. Both were involved in some brilliant partnerships.

Srikkanth debuted in 1981 against England in Wankhede Stadium. He has scored 2062 runs in 43 matches. He scored two centuries and 12 fifties in his Test cricket career.

In 146 ODI matches, he has bagged 4091 runs at an average of 29.01 with four tons and 27 half-centuries.
