Tendulkar to Navratilova: Wishes pour in for Rohan Bopanna after becoming Oldest World No. 1

After becoming the oldest World No. 1 in the history of tennis, Indian sports legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, and Mahesh Bhupathi have wished Rohan Bopanna.

The wishes came pouring in after the 43-year-old beat the Argentinian duo of Máximo González and Andrés Molteni in the Australian Open 2024 quarterfinal to reach the apex of the ATP Rankings for the first time.

Rohan Bopanna gets flooded with love online

Apart from Tendulkar, Mirza, and Bhupathi, India’s No. 1 ranked men’s tennis player, Sumit Nagal, wished him. Cricketer turned politician Manoj Tiwari also joined the bandwagon. One of the most accomplished tennis players of all time, Martina Navratilova, also congratulated the Indian ace player.

Age is just a number but ‘Number 1’ is not just another number.
