T20 World Cup flight booked: Netizens go wild as Rishabh Pant gives GT bowlers a thrashing

Rishabh Pant is back! The Delhi Capitals skipper needed just nine matches to return to his true self. With his team struggling, 44/3, he stitched a 113-run stand with Axar Patel and helped the Capitals get back into the game. He was then helped by Tristian Stubbs, as they scored 67 runs in just 18 balls.

31 of those runs came in the final over of the first inning. Pant was 58 of 37 balls at one point and then berserk, ending with 88(43) and a strike rate of 204.65. The thrashing he gave to Mohit Sharma in the last over meant that the pacer ended with the worst figures in IPL history.

Although Mohit was his favorite victim, Pant spared no Gujarat Titans bowler. His 88-run knock consisted of 13 boundaries (5 fours and 8 sixes). It also meant that the Delhi Capitals went past the 200-run mark with relative ease. A total of 210 would have been good, but his last overs firework took them to 224.
