India’s hitter Suryakumar Yadav will compete against Zimbabwe’s all-rounder Sikandar Raza for consecutive ICC T20I Player of the Year award win. ICC revealed the nominees for the award on Wednesday, including Uganda’s Alpesh Ramjani and Kiwi Mark Chapman amongst four names.
Yadav did not have a perfect start to the year as he scored just 7 runs in the first match, but in the following matches, he scored 51 (36) and 112* (51) in the next two matches. Suryakumar Yadav consistently scored runs in the 20s and 40s in the shorter format of the game.

He scored 83 (44) against the West Indies in Providence and 61 (45) in Florida. He scored 61 (45) in Florida. SKY scored 733 runs in 18 matches in 2023 at a strike rate of 155.95.
Raza has scored 515 runs in 12 T20I matches this year at an average of 51.50 and a strike rate of 150.14. He has also taken 17 wickets in the shorter format of the game.
