Sunrisers Hyderabad will be eyeing to play spoilsport in LSG’s chances of making it to the IPL 2025 playoffs as the two sides lock horns on Monday. Pat Cummins and co. have already been eliminated from the playoffs race, and are currently 8th on the points table. The game in Lucknow will mark SRH’s first one since the resumption of IPL 2025 after a one-week break.

SRH are unlikely to avail the services of opener Travis Head for the game against LSG. Head coach Daniel Vettori confirmed on the eve of the game that the Australian batter had contracted COVID-19 and would join the team only on the day of the match. In the absence of Head, SRH are likely to ask an out-of-form Kishan to open the innings along with Abhishek.
There will be a lot of expectations from Nitish to ace his role at number 4. The all-rounder, playing as a pure bater this season, has simply failed to fire. Manohar and Verma wil act as the finishers.
In terms of bowling, SRH are likely to stick with the pace trio of Cummins-Unadkat-Harshal. This means there is no room for an under-performing Shami. Zeeshan Ansari will serve as the primary spinner while Harsh Dubey is expected to get his maiden IPL cap.
