Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Delhi Capitals in match number 55 of IPL 2025 at 7.30 PM IST in what is a must-win encounter for them. Returning after a mid-season break in Maldives, Pat Cummins & co. were handed a 38-run thrashing by GT in their previous game. SRH are boggled by woes on multiple fronts and this might force the team to make a few changes for their clash against DC.

No room for Kishan & Nitish
Ishan has failed to fire ever since his debut game for SRH and is a cause for concern in the top order. The team relies on the southpaw to deliver, especially when Head or Sharma depart early. However, he has yeilded poor returns which could force Cummins to consider Smaran Ravichandran for that role.
Another batter who has misfired this season is Nitish Kumar Reddy. The Hyderbad batter has only managed to score 173 runs in 10 matches and has hardly been able to create any impact while batting at number 4.
Apart from these 2, SRH desperately need their opening combo of Head and Sharma to fire collectively. The duo have been unable to replicate their prowess from IPL 2024 where they turned out to be a nightmare for the bowlers.
Shami out?
Shami has been quite expensive in this season and has just not been able to take wickets consistently like how the team would have liked him to. As pointed out by experts, he has also struggled to bowl at consistent lengths and his pace has also dropped.
SRH have the option of using Harshal Patel and Jaydev Unadkat as pace spearheads alongside skipper Pat Cummins. Zeeshan Ansari could play the role of specialist spinner while Head and Sharma can bowl as a part-timers.
Adding to the arsenal could be the ambidextrous Kamindu Mendis as well.
