Star India batter and the vice-captain of the ODI team for the Champions Trophy, Shubman Gill has signed a deal with MRF, a brand known to support players like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, and Virat Kohli. As per Cricbuzz, the IND vs AUS semis encounter will be the first time Shubman will use the bat, starting his journey with the tyre giants.
The agreement between Shubman Gill and MRF starts on March 4, while the details of the same are still awaited. It is important to note that, apart from the above athletes, MRF has been associated with AB de Villiers, Steve Waugh, Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, and Gautam Gambhir in the past.
Shubman Gill has been in excellent touch in the ODI format and has scored 2736 runs in the 53 matches he has played so far. He averages stunning 60.80 and has eight tons to his name, apart from 15 50s. In this Champions Trophy, he has been excellent, where he scored 101 against Bangladesh, while vs Pakistan he scored 46.
