Playing in Indian Premier League, Gayle represented several teams as he was also one of the oldest players to play in the IPL. Gayle has also represented Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League apart from participating in numerous 20-over leagues.
Shoaib Malik
Veteran batter Shoaib Malik comes second on the list with 13,022 runs since making his debut in 2005. The only thing eluding the legendary Pakistan all-rounder is a century in the format. While he has scored 77 fifties, he is yet to score a hundred.
Kieron Pollard
West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard features third in the list with 12,175 runs in T20 cricket. Pollard, like his West Indies teammate Chris Gayle, has featured for a number of T20 teams around the world.
Virat Kohli
Star batter Virat Kohli is just six runs away from completing 12,000 T20 runs. The right-handed batter is expected to achieve the milestone in the upcoming IPL 2024.
Alex Hales
Former England opener Alex Hales comes fifth on the list. The right-handed batter has amassed a total of 11,903 T20 runs and his numbers are expected to grow since he participates in several T20 competitions across the World.
