Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have made a forced change to their playing XI in their last IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Spin all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has been included in the LSG playing XI vs GT, replacing Digvesh Rathi, who is serving a one-match suspension after accumulating five demerit points for excessive celebration.
LSG out of IPL 2025 playoffs race
To note, LSG are already eliminated from the playoff race but will be looking to end their campaign on a positive note. The team has struggled with consistency, and Rishabh Pant’s leadership has been under scrutiny.
With this change, LSG aims to strengthen their middle order and add depth to their spin attack. Shahbaz Ahmed, known for his all-round abilities, could play a crucial role in stabilizing the innings and providing breakthroughs with the ball.
GT, on the other hand, remains unchanged and is focused on securing a top-two finish. With Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler, and Rashid Khan in top form, they are expected to dominate the contest.
