KL Rahul has also enjoyed a good series, and is closing in on another milestone ahead of the IND vs ENG 4th Test.

KL Rahul is India’s Mr. Dependable in overseas conditions. The 32-year-old has 2 centuries this series, with 375 runs under his belt. Overall, Rahul has 989 runs in 12 Tests in England, needing just 11 more to reach the 1000-run mark. Only 3 other Indians have scored more than 1k runs in England.

Player Mat Inns Runs HS Ave 100 50
Sachin Tendulkar 17 30 1575 193 54.31 4 8
Rahul Dravid 13 23 1376 217 68.8 6 4

KL Rahul 12 24 989 149 41.2 4 2

Rahul will also eye his personal best in the ongoing India vs England series. The Indian opener’s best ever tally in a series came in 2016/2017, where he score 393 runs against Australia. The 32-year-old could breach the 400-run mark for the first time in his career heading into the IND vs ENG 4th Test.

Rahul has enjoyed a resurgence since returning to the top of the order in Australia. With the Indian team in transition, Rahul remains as one of the senior statesmen. Captain Shubman Gill would hope he carries on his good form with India aiming to level the series in Manchester.
