With just two matches left in their IPL 2025 campaign, a down and out RR have announced an injury replacement for fast bowler Sandeep Sharma. The team has roped in South African pacer Nandre Burger, and the announcement was made on Thursday. Sandeep had picked up a finger injury after playing 10 matches in the season, and had picked 9 wickets and an economy of 9.89.
It is to be reminded, that Burger had made his IPL debut last year, with the same franchise, but this time went unsold with a base price of 1.25 Cr. In his campaign, in the six matches, he had picked up 7 wickets at an average of 8.52. But this time he comes at a hefty price of 3.5 Cr.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the only injury that has hurt RR this season. Earlier, Nitish Rana also suffered an injury and South African Lhuan-dre Pretorius was bagged at a base price of INR 30 lakh,
