Rishabh Pant returned to form with a stunning century at the Ekana Stadium on Tuesday. Pant, who had scored just 151 runs in 13 games, smashed 118 against a hapless RCB bowling attack. Promoting himself to No.3, the LSG captain laced his innings with 11 fours and eight sixes in a brutal assault of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Co. He became only the 5th player in IPL history to score multiple hundreds while batting at No.3 or lower.

It took 2574 days for Pant to add his second hundred in the tournament. His maiden IPl century came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Kotla in Delhi. Pant had then smashes 128* off 63 balls. That knock was then the highest score by an Indian batter before both KL Rahul and Abhishek Sharma went past that mark.

On Tuesday, Pant looked at his fluent best, accessing all parts of the ground. The LSG skipper ditched his reverse sweeps and unorthodox stroke play. He targeted the straight boundary and was rewarded for the same. He became the 5th LSG player to score an IPL century, and his 118* is the third highest in franchise history. Pant had a forgettable IPL 2025, but has ended off with a bang, with the England series on the horizon.
