Reckless Digvesh Singh Rathi suspended for one match, to miss clash vs GT on May 22

LSG spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi’s notebook celebration has once again landed him in trouble, and this time around the punishment is much harsh. After his antics against Abhishek Sharma in the LSG vs SRH battle, Rathi has been fined 50 per cent on his fees, and also has been handed a one match suspension.

Meanwhile, this wasn’t the first time that Digvesh Singh Rathi had pulled off something like this. Earlier in the tournament he had been fined twice for the level 1 offence under article 2. So, in addition to the thee demerit points (one each against PBKS and two vs MI) earlier, and two now as well, he faces the strict punishment. That, in short means, he won’t play in the LSG vs GT match on May 22 in Ahmedabad.

On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma, the other party in the incident, has been fined 25 per cent of his match fees. This happens to be his first Level 1 offence, and has garnered one demerit point.
