After her match-winning performance in the IND vs AUS Women Test, Indian vice captain Smriti Mandhana is set to miss the IND vs AUS Women 1st ODI. After winning the toss, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur decided to bat first. However, when asked about their playing XI, Harmanpreet said that Mandhana would not be taking the field.
The reason behind Smriti Mandhana not playing isn’t due to fatigue or her being rested, but due to her health. Skipper Harmanpreet revealed that Mandhana was unwell and therefore not available for selection in the IND vs AUS Women 1st ODI at the Wankhede Stadium.
