RCB-W vs UPW, WPL 2024 Live Score: Smriti Mandhana and Co. look to reverse horror of last season

The second match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 will see Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on UP Warriorz (UPW) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Both teams will be eager to start their campaign on a winning note, after having a mixed record in the inaugural season last year. RCB, led by Smriti Mandhana, have bolstered their squad with the additions of Ekta Bisht, Georgia Wareham, Kate Cross and Sophie Molineux, among others. They will rely on their star all-rounders Ellyse Perry and Sophie Devine to provide the firepower with both bat and ball.

UP Warriorz, captained by Alyssa Healy, have a balanced side with a strong Indian core of Deepti Sharma, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Laxmi Yadav and others. They also have the likes of Chamari Athapaththu, Sophie Ecclestone, Tahlia McGrath and Danni Wyatt to add the international flair.

Just like the opening game, the upcoming encounter is likely to be a high-scoring affair and we can expect another last-ball thriller at the Chinnaswamy stadium tonight.
