Predicted GT Retention List for IPL 2026

Gujarat Titans had a great IPL 2025 and finished third in the points table with 9 wins and 5 losses. And at the centre of those performances were Sai Sudharsan, who scored runs in truckloads, with Prasidh Krishna responding with a lot of wickets. Now, the time might have come for them to look at the players, who they might want to retain for the next season. InsideSport takes a look at that.

GT predicted retention list for IPL 2026

Rashid Khan: Had a poor, poor season with 9 wickets in 15 matches. The economy rate was up too. But there is no way he can be out of the team.

Shubman Gill: Skipper scored 650 runs in 15 matches. Enough said.

Sai Sudharsan: The orange-cap holder scored 759 runs in the season at an average of 54. He had one ton and six fifties to his name.

Kagiso Rabada: Two wickets in the season just don’t paint a great picture. But then he is one of the best bowlers in the world, and can hit the long ball as well. A must have.

Jos Buttler: 538 runs in 14 matches with an average of 60. He is the kind of player, teams would pounce on, to get.

Mohammed Siraj: 16 wickets in 15 matches. He is one of the mainstays of the bowling and in a way, their spearhead too. He stays as well without any doubt.

Prasidh Krishna: He was the purple cap holder of the season with 25 scalps.

Nishant Sindhu: An upcoming all-rounder that the team can groom for future seasons. He is in Ravindra Jadeja mould.

Mahipal Lomror: Doesn’t get to play a lot but can be a handy all-rounder.

Kumar Kushagra: Comes in as a backup wicket-keeper and is a solid batter.

Anuj Rawat: Another keeper-batter; could come in handy in times of need.

Manav Suthar: Has been with the team for a couple of years now, and could continue to serve them for a long time. But is yet to find a regular place in the XI.

Washington Sundar: Wasn’t the best really but then the team also knows his real worth. A must have despite his average numbers in the last season.

Gerald Coetzee: Played only four matches, but is a bright pacer. He should be in the squad for sure.

Arshad Khan: 6 wickets is what he got for the team in the season. He was expensive but then he looks the part for now.

Gurnoor Brar: He could be the one who gets a few matches in the next season. He has developed a bit of a reputation now, is tall and can bowl quick.

Sherfane Rutherford: Scored 291 runs in the middle-order for the team, can bowl as well if needed. He stays.

Sai Kishore: An excellent season of 19 wickets, there is no way the team can release him.

Glenn Phillips: He was injured early in the tournament, but is an excellent player in every aspect. Is a gun fielder, scores quickly, and is an able off-spinner too.

Kulwant Khejroliya: Experience is needed for backup players too and Khejroliya provides just that to GT.
