IN what looked like a disruption due to power failure in the floodlight tower; the PBKS vs DC clash n Dharamsala was abruptly called off. While the reason for the match getting called off is not clear, it could well be due to the tension between India and Pakistan at the border areas. Twitter was abuzz with this development, with many claiming that the Stadium was also being evacuated.

Earlier the PBKS vs DC match started an hour late due to rain, and there was further disruption caused. The incident happened in the 11th over of the Punjab innings, just when opener Priyansh Arya was dismissed, and both teams had to briefly head back to the dressing rooms.

Meanwhile, it is important to note, that the next match for PBKS, vs MI at the same venue has been shifted to Ahmedabad, due to logistical challenges. As far as the PBKS vs DC clash is concerned, in 10.1 overs, after opting to bat first, Punjab scored 122/1 with Priyansh Arya being the aggressor, and scoring 70 from just 34 deliveries.
On the other hand, Prabhsimran Singh was in his element too, as he scored 50 from 28 deliveries only, becoming the first uncapped player in the history of IPL to slam four back-to-back fifties.
