PBKS performance in IPL 2025

PBKS are arguably one of the best and the most consistent sides in IPL 2025. Led by a new captain Iyer, the trophy-less franchise have seen contributions flow in from all quarters of the team. Such is the brilliance of PBKS and Iyer that they even managed to register the lowest total defended in the history of IPL.

PBKS started off their campaign on a victorious note by beating GT by 11 runs. They then beat LSG by 8 wickets. Iyer & co. suffered their first defeat at the hands of RR in the following game. However, they recovered well, managing to win the next three out of four games.

With a team requiring 16 points for a guaranteed spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs, PBKS have their task cut short already. With 10 points to their name already, Iyer and co. need to win just three or four out of the remaining 7 matches to qualify for the playoffs. 4 out of the 7 games will be played at their home grounds – Mullanpur and Dharamsala.

PBKS are currently placed 2nd on the points table, with a net run-rate of +0.308. DC have managed to take the top spot only due to a marginally higher NRR. But that could change after April 19 as Axar Patel and co. will lock horns with GT.
