India’s great spinner Ravichandran Ashwin smashed dashing hundred at his home ground-MA Chidambaram Stadium in IND vs ENG 2nd Test in 2021.
The 37-year-old displayed his all-round skill in the match. He, first, took a fifer in the first innings of the match to restrict England to 134. And, in the second innings, when India were 6-106, He scored brilliant 106 off 148 balls.

Virat Kohli also scored 62 off balls in the match. But, he was dismissed, when India were 202/7.
Kohli and Ashwin put on 96 runs for the seventh wicket, batting for two hours.
Ashwin continued to play his natural shots despite Kohli’s return to the pavilion, he completed his three-figure by hitting a four. He made 134 deliveries to smash the century.
With Ashwin’s remarkable performance from bat and ball, India won the match by 317 runs. Ashwin also dismissed three batters in the second innings.
Ashwin to conplete 500 Test wickets in IND vs ENG 3rd Test
Indian spinner is all set to register himself in the history book by clinching the 500th Test match in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test match. He is just one wicket shy from achieving this feat. Ashwin has taken 499 wickets in 97 matches. Ashwin will be the second Indian bowler to take 500 wickets in Test history, Anil Kumble was the first spinner with 619 Test scalps.
