Michael Hussey receives massive honour, added into Hall of Fame

Widely known as Mr Cricket, Australia’s Michael Hussey is officially a cricket legend as he is inducted into the country’s Cricket Hall of Fame. On the day of the start of the Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan, Cricket Australia made the announcement and included former women’s skipper Lyn Larsen in the list, as per a report in Fox Cricket.

“The name Michael Hussey is synonymous with the hard work, skill, and dedication needed to succeed at the highest level and his inspirational career is testament to the values to which all great players aspire,” CA chief Nick Hockley said.

Reacting to the honour, Hussey said, “I was shocked when I first found out … I didn’t really know what to say. I was stunned really. I was happy to play just one Test match for Australia growing up, so to be in the Hall of Fame, I will truly cherish it for the rest of my life.”
