KRAFTON takes centre stage at WAVES 2025, Showcasing 13 games including 9 homegrown titles

KRAFTON, the global gaming powerhouse and makers of India’s most loved battle royale title Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), took center stage on Day 1 of WAVES 2025 (World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit) with a powerful showcase of 13 cutting-edge games, including 9 developed by Indian studios. The activation underscored KRAFTON’s continued commitment to supporting homegrown game development and India’s interactive entertainment ecosystem.

The day also brought together some of India’s biggest names in cinema, music, and digital media, from Shahrukh Khan to Rajnikanth to Hema Malini to SS Rajamouli and AR Rahman, in sessions that highlighted the convergence of entertainment, culture, and digital innovation, further amplifying the energy and creative momentum of the festival.

Eight startups from the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator programme (KIGI) hosted interactive booths on the show floor: Redimension Games, Shura Games, Dunali Games, Arjuna Studios, Ginger Games, Singular Scheme, Kleanup Games, and Advaita Interactive. A ninth studio, Smashhead Studios, also part of KIGI, attended the event reflecting the full strength of the incubator’s inaugural cohort. Anuj Sahani, Head of KIGI, was present to support and spotlight the work of these rising Indian game creators.

With BGMI continuing to capture the imagination of millions, KRAFTON remains a pillar of India’s gaming culture, blending localized innovation, esports excellence, and community-first strategies. Its recent conclusion of BGIS 2025 with a ₹3.2 crore prize pool further cements its leadership in Indian esports.

Since 2021, KRAFTON has invested over $200 million in Indian startups across gaming, esports, content, fintech, and deep tech, and has committed an additional $170–200 million over the next three years making it the largest investor in India’s interactive entertainment space.
