Sam Curran will be the stand-in skipper for the Punjab Kings in place of Shikhar Dhawan in the clash against Rajasthan Royals. RR won the toss and opted to bowl first in match number 27 of IPL 2024 in Mullanpur, Mohali. At the toss, Curran revealed why Dhawan was missing the game.
Is Shikhar Dhawan injured?
Shikhar Dhawan has reportedly picked up a niggle and will hence miss the game against RR. Skipper Sam Curran confirmed the same at the toss as he spoke about the changes to the XI for the game in Mullanpur.
Liam Livingstone, who missed the last two games, will make a comeback to the XI. Meanwhile, Atharva Taide is included in the place of an injured Dhawan.
