IPL 2024: Tata group retains sponsorship rights after record-breaking Rs 2500 crore deal

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced Tata group as the title sponsors for the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a period of five years. The Tata group has paid about INR 2500 crore—the highest-ever sponsorship amount in the history of IPL to secure the deal. The Tata Group previously held the title sponsorship rights for the IPL in 2022 and 2023 and is also the title sponsor of the Women’s Premier League, the biggest women’s T20 league in the world.

DLF (2008-12): $100m for first four years, extended to $150 for five years.

Pepsi (2013-15): Rs 396 Crore for five years

Vivo (2016-19): Rs 200 crore for 2016-17, renewed to Rs 439.8 crore for 18-19

Dream11 (2020): Rs 222 crore.

Vivo (2021): Rs 439.8 crore

Tata (2022-23): Rs 670 crore for two years

Tata (2024-29): Rs 2,500 crore
