India Women vs England Women Test LIVE: Heather Knight & Co had to toil hard on Day 1 of the INDW vs ENGW one-off Test as the home side went on to post a record 410/7 at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium on Thursday. Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar are set to resume the Indian innings on Day 2 as India look to pile up more misery on the visitors.
England skipper Heather Knight did try her best to rotate bowlers and keep India at bay. But there was no such luck. As many as four India batters scored half-centuries to take Day 1 honours. However, spinner Sophie Ecclestone could be the key to dismiss India as soon as possible and deny Deepti Sharma her maiden Test century.
And then, England will have to prepare for the batting challenge. There will be some assistance to spinners as the match progresses and India’s strength will be spin.
