India U19 World Cup Points Table (Updated): Uday Saharan and Co second in Group A after beating Bangladesh

The India U19 Cricket Team began their World Cup journey with a dominating win over Bangladesh. The boys in Blue inflicted a 84 run win over their neighbours in their opening game. With this win India is now placed 2nd in the Group A standings. Up next, India will face Ireland followed up their last group stage clash against USA.

 Uday Saharan guided his side to a comfortable win against Bangladesh. India batted first and went on to score 251/7 after 50 overs. Opener Adarsh Singh scored 76 followed by skipper Saharan’s knock of 64 runs down the order. In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out 167 with Saumy Pandey scalping a four-fer.

Despite the 84-run win India is placed 2nd in the Group A points table. It is however, Ireland who has a Net Run Rate after their win against USA and thus tops the group. With two relative matches left, India, the defending champions will aim to finish at the top of the standings.
