India Playing XI: No Jaiswal, Rohit and Shubman to open in IND vs AFG 1st T20I

Team India have won the toss and opt to field first in the IND vs AFG 1st T20I at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. The Men in Blue had to make a last minute change in the Playing XI after opener Yashasvi Jaiswal complaint of a sore right groin.

Virat Kohli made himself unavailable for the first T20I due to personal reasons.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will open the innings. Meanwhile, the management went with Jitesh Sharma over Sanju Samson for the wicketkeeper’s role. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also missed out and is replaced by all-rounder Washington Sundar.
