KL Rahul slammed a gritty fifty off 72 balls as India led the charge on Day Two of IND vs ENG 1st Test. Scoring 6 boundaries, Rahul contributed heavily as India posted a total of 183 at the time of writing. The second day started on a low for the Men in Blue with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill departing soon.
Jaiswal was denied his maiden 1oo after being scalped by Joe Root while Gill contributed only a modest total of 23 runs off 66 balls after being dismissed by Tom Hartley. Rahul brought India back to the commanding position with his 14th 50 in the longest format of the game.
