Raining has stopped in Delhi. Water was pelting down from the sky yesterday and today Heinrich Klaasen made it rain sixes. The wicketkeeper batter was in no mood to mess about. It’s been an up-and-down season for him and playing his final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Klaasen brought his A game.
Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head had set the platform. The score was 92/1 after 6.5 overs when Klaasen came. The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) looked set for a mammoth total. And Klaasen being in the middle would play a major part in that. From the 8th over onwards, the run flow didn’t stop.
Heinrich Klaasen hits fastest IPL hundred for SRH
Of the remaining 79 balls, Klaasen faced 39. But that was enough for him to score the third-fastest IPL hundred of all time. Just 37 balls it took Klaasen to reach the triple digit. He took a special liking to Varun Chakaravarthy, to whom he hit 6 boundaries. But he didn’t spare any bowler.
He hit two boundaries every 2.4 balls, 16 boundaries (9 sixes and 7 fours) in total. In his 39-ball innings of 105, Klaasen faced zero dot balls. It was a masterful display of power hitting.
