Hazlewood boost for RCB! Pacer rejoins side ahead of IPL 2025 playoffs

In what is a big relief for Royal Challengers Bengluru, Josh Hazlewood has rejoined the side ahead of the IPL 2025 playoffs. The Australian pacer had missed the last two games due to a shoulder niggle. Hazlewood had flown back home after the IPL was suspended for a week and hadn’t returned along with other Australian cricketers like Pat Cummins, Travis Head etc.

Taking to social media platforms, RCB uploaded a picture of Hazlewood’s kit bags with a caption, “lost and found.” The pacer is expected to feature in RCB’s final league stage match against LSG on May 27.

The Australian pacer has been RCB’s best bowler in IPL 2025 so far, having taken 14 wickets from 11 matches. With the World Test Championship (WTC) final fast approaching as well, Hazlewood was seen recovering and training at the Centre of Excellence in Brisbane before departing to India again.

RCB are currently third on the points table with 17 points to their name. Rajat Patidar and co. will be aiming for a top-placed finish with a win against LSG on Tuesday.
