Uzbekistan started the game with a greater intensity than Igor Stimac’s side. Abbosbek Fayzullaev opened the scoring after just four minutes for Uzbekistan. Igor Sergeev added a second 15 minutes later. A third goal in the stoppage time of first half sealed the fate of the match.
While some social media users targetted Indian coach Igor Stimac for the disappointing results in the AFC Asian Cup, others urged the Indian team to look for fresh wingers and midfielders.
