Even though the IPL 2025 is yet to be completed, but somehow, India vs England series has become the more important topic to discuss. The squad for the tour is yet to be picked, but as per a fresh report in the Times of India, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and the first batch of players are all set to leave for the country on June 6, with the rest to follow.

First Batch of Players to Leave for England on June 6

“The players who get free from the IPL during the league stage are likely to leave with coach Gambhir on June 6. The rest will leave after a short break post the IPL 2025 commitments,” said a senior BCCI official. It seems that most of the support staff is at different locations for now, and will only meet directly in England.

Rest of the Squad to Join After IPL 2025

On the other hand, the India A squad will leave in batches, for the tour starting on May 25. The players not in the IPL or the playoffs, will leave earlier, with the others to follow. The India A squad was supposed to be out by May 13, but the revised IPL 2025 schedule seems to have caused a further delay.

As far as the schedule for the India A matches is concerned, the team will play three matches overall. The first one begins on May 30, followed by another one on June 6. Thereafter, India A play an intra-squad match vs the Indian senior team on June 13.
