Amid the buzzing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, May 2 brought several non-IPL news. We heard that the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) decision might lead to the cancellation of the Asia Cup 2025. Virat Kohli revealed why he retired from T20Is. Jasprit Bumrah was compared with Sir Donald Bradman, and Sai Sudharsan got a selection shout for the India vs England Test series from a former India head coach.

CSK let Priyansh Arya go

CSK was the first team to be knocked out of the IPL 2025 season. They might have had one excellent replacement in Priyansh Arya. But CSK didn’t listen to their scouts’ suggestion and didn’t bid on the opener at the auction.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri feels that Sai Sudharsan might be a perfect fit for the upcoming India vs England Test series. Shastri feels that him being a left-hander helps. Plus, Sudharsan has played in the County Championship before. He also brought two left-arm pacers’ names for selections, Arshdeep Singh and Khaleel Ahmed.
