Asia Cup 2025 cancelled?
The BCCI may pull out of the Asia Cup 2025. Considering the current climate between India and Pakistan, there is a possibility that the 8-team tournament may not happen. The potential of having a couple of India vs Pakistan matches is the main reason the Asia Cup exists. But if that isn’t possible, the tournament may not go ahead.
Why did Virat Kohli retire from T20Is
Given how Virat Kohli has been performing in the IPL 2025 season, many are wondering, why did Kohli retire from T20Is? The former India captain has finally revealed the reason. Having won the T20 World Cup 2024, Kohli felt it was time to move now. He knew he may not continue until 2026, the edition, and so decided to give those waiting in line their chance.
CSK let Priyansh Arya go
CSK was the first team to be knocked out of the IPL 2025 season. One of the big reasons why that happened was because they lost Ruturaj Gaikwad to injury, and their openers, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra, were dropped due to form issues. They might have had one excellent replacement in Priyansh Arya. But CSK didn’t listen to their scouts’ suggestion and didn’t bid on the opener at the auction.

Jasprit Bumrah, ‘Bradman of bowlers’
Former Australia captain Adam Gilchrist has compared Jasprit Bumrah to the greatest batter of all time, Sir Don Bradman. Gilly feels that, much like Bradman was miles ahead of his peers, Bumrah is also head and shoulders above other pacers. He added that Bumrah may be the best fast bowler, not just of this generation but of all time.
Don’t need Jos Buttler says RR
RR fielding coach Dishant Yagnik has stated that the franchise doesn’t regret letting go of players like Jos Buttler, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Trent Boult. Yagnik claimed that these players became superstars at RR, and they have a current crop who’ll do that as well. He signed off by saying, “We don’t buy superstars; we make superstars.”
Sai Sudharsan for India vs England Tests
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri feels that Sai Sudharsan might be a perfect fit for the upcoming India vs England Test series. Shastri feels that him being a left-hander helps. Plus, Sudharsan has played in the County Championship before. He also brought two left-arm pacers’ names for selections, Arshdeep Singh and Khaleel Ahmed.
