DRS May 23: Ayush Mhatre rewarded, DC owner unhappy & Rishabh Pant to leave LSG?

Lucknow Super Giants grabbed a consolation win as they handed table toppers GT a 33-run thrashing. While Mitchell Marsh slammed a century to set the stage for LSG, captain Rishabh Pant flopped yet again. However, he made it very clear that he has no plans of moving on from the franchise.

Pant has no plans to leave LSG

Pant has hit out at the reports suggesting his release from the LSG following a disastrous IPL 2025 campaign. LSG paid an auction record Rs 27 crore to their skipper, but were knocked out of the IPL 2025 playoffs race. In a big boost for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Travis Head, who was ruled out due to Covid-19, is set to return in the upcoming RCB vs SRH IPL 2025 clash. On Thursday, SRH bowling coach James Franklin confirmed that Head has fully recovered. RCB have already qualified for IPL 2025 playoffs. Mhatre named U19 captain

BCCI announced the 16-member U19 squad for the upcoming tour to England. CSK star Ayush Mhatre has been named as the captain for the side with Abhigyan Kundu set to serve as his deputy. The tour comprises a 50-over warm-up match, followed by a five-match Youth One-Day series and two Multi-Day matches against England U19. Read more here.

DC became the first team in IPL who failed to qualify for the playoffs despite winning their first four matches. A defeat against MI signalled the end of the road for Axar Patel and co. With India set to tour England for a five-Test series, the national selectors have reportedly asked Arshdeep Singh to be on standby for a potential red-ball debut.
