Who was responsible for the Bengaluru stampede during the RCB event? NO one really knows, while a lot of developments did take place in the matter on Thursday. Apart from that, the pre-departure press conference of Gautam Gambhir and Shubman Gill did make the news, where they spoke about the undecided batting order, and Jasprit Bumrah.

RCB Announce Massive Compensation to Families of Victims

A day after the horrific incident, RCB, the IPL 2025 winners decided to compensate the families of the 11 victims of the stampede. The amount was set at INR 10 lakh. The move seems to have come, after a report suggested that team was keen on having the celebration event on Thursday itself, despite warning from police.

RCB Charged with “Criminal Negligence”

The matter doesn’t stop just at that. Bengaluru police has registered an FIR against IPL 2025 champions RCB and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). Event management company DNA Network have also been charged in connection with the stampede that led to the death of 11 people.

Jasprit Bumrah Available for Three Tests

As expected, keeping in mind his workload during the India-England series, the team management has decided to make Jasprit Bumrah play three Tests only. The same was revealed by coach Gautam Gambhir and skipper Shubman Gill. Having said that, the team still possesses decent back up bowling strength.

While it is confirmed that England quick will miss the first encounter vs India in Headingly on June 20, he could well be back in the Test team after four years in Edgbaston. But for that, he will have to prove his fitness for Sussex, against Durham, before the fixture. The second match starts from 2nd July.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s close friend RJ Mahvash revealed through a social media post, that the leg-spinner played the IPL 2025 through immense pain, where he suffered three fractures. What came as a big shock was, Chahal had fractured his ribs early on in the tournament, just in second match, and performed for the team when needed.
