Discarded from IPL 2024, Narayan Jagadeesan roars back to form with double century in Ranji Trophy

Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper Narayan Jagadeesan was the lone warrior for the side in the Rani Trophy 2024 game against Railways as he scored a sensational double ton. Jagadeesan, who top-scored for the side in the 1st innings with a 245-run knock, has put IPL sides on notice after his knock. It is pertinent to note that the ex-KKR star has not received a contract so far for IPL 2024.

Narayan Jagadeesan scores double ton in lone fight for TN

Playing an innings that spanned for 402 deliveries, the TN batter’s slow-paced and gritty knock was studded with 25 boundaries and four sixes. Skipper Sai Kishore was the only other batter who managed to get past a 50+ score, putting up a 59-run knock. Tamil Nadu ended their 1st innings at a mammoth total of 489 runs.

In response, Railways were bowled out for 296 runs in their first innings after which a follow on was enforced.
