Deepak Hooda channels inner Maxwell, single-handedly takes Rajasthan to VHT final

In a chase of 283, Rajasthan were reeling at 23/3 against Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy semifinal. Enter Glenn Maxwell. Sorry, enter Deepak Hooda. Confused? The way Deepak Hooda single-handedly took down Karnataka bowling attack, he should have reminded fans of Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, who pulled off a similar rescue effort to help his side defeat Afghanistan a month ago.

Maxwell scored 201 in that World Cup match while Hooda hit 180 off just 128 balls to take Rajasthan to Vijay Hazare Trophy final.

1⃣5⃣0⃣ up for Deepak Hooda

He brings it up off just 108 balls.

From 23/3, Deepak Hooda partnered Karan Lamba for a mammoth 255-run stand to take Rajasthan across the finish line in 43.4 overs.

Not so long ago, Deepak Hooda was an India player. However, a string of poor shows and return of the big guns forced him to lose his spot. However, the knock would surely send a reminder to the selectors of his caliber once again.
