Debut loading for Urvil Patel?
Urvil, who holds the record for he fastest T20 hundred scored by an Indian, was announced as replacement for Vansh Bedi. The latter had warmed the bench throughout IPL 2025, and was sooner or later going to get a game. However, an injury has forced Bedi to be ruled out of the remainder of the tournament.
Urvil might get a chance to feature in CSK’s playing XI straightaway. The youngster can solve CSK’s middle-order woes, adding to the firepower along with Dewald Brevis.
Ellis in, Pathirana out?
Pathirana has delivered sub-par performances so far in IPL 2025. The CSK bowler has been quite expensive and ineffective so far in this season. This might force MS Dhoni to think of going for a seasoned Ellis in place of Pathirana.
CSK’s pace attack will be spearheaded by Khaleel Ahmed, with Anshul Kamboj playing second fiddle.
