‘Compensate Shamar Joseph’: Ian Bishop wants funds for pacer, cautions against burnout

Former West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop has demanded funds to be allocated as compensation for Shamar Joseph after his Gabba heroics. The journey of Joseph from Guyana to Brisbane has been nothing short of inspirational.

Taking to X, Bishop said that it was important for the board, government and the cooperate bodies to allocate funds to compensate Joseph and other pacers. He said that this must be done in order to keep them in Caribbean contol. Noting that their pace is everything, Bishop cautioned them against allowing burnout.
