Brown’s 41-ball hundred is only the second fastest in the BBL’s history. Last year’s Melbourne Stars star, Glenn Maxwell, scored a 41-ball hundred against the Hurricanes at the famous MCG.

Craig Simmons is the fastest player to score a hundred runs in the BBL. Simmons achieved the record in January 2014 during a match between Perth Scorchers and Strikers, which took place at Perth’s WACA.

Brown hit 12 sixes during the course of his brisk innings, breaking the record of Chris Gayle, Simmons and Chris Lynn, who all hit 11 sixes.

Brown also scored the third highest individual score in BBL history, behind only Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis. Maxwell smashed a match-winning 64-ball 154 to for the Stars beat against the Hurricanes. Stoinis, who is also from the Stars, scored a match-winning 147 not out against Sydney Sixers at Sydney Cricket Ground in 2020.

Brown is currently third in the list of leading run-scorers in the ongoing BBL. The right-handed batter has scored 313 runs from 8 matches at an average of 39.12 and a strike-rate of 152.68.
