Bhuvneshwar Kumar has played three Indian Premier League (IPL) finals. All for Sunrisers Hyderabad. And although he won a trophy in 2016, all three times, he couldn’t take a wicket. But comes the crunch moment for his new IPL team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Bhuvneshwar didn’t let the ghosts of the past haunt him.
Against the Punjab Kings, when everything was on the line, Bhuvneshwar shone bright. Although Krunal Pandya had inflicted major damage, Shreyas Iyer’s team wasn’t out of the IPL 2025 Final. Although PBKS needed 55 runs from 24 balls, no match is until it ends.
In the 17th over, Bhuvneshwar got the wickets of Nehal Wadhera and Marcus Stoinis to put the final nail in the coffin and ensure RCB lifted their maiden IPL trophy.
